API Reference
SmartURL is primarily a browser-based product today, and the API reference page documents the current posture plus the integration direction for future programmatic access.
Current availability
A public production API is not exposed yet. The current product experience is centered on the web interface, where people can clean URLs, remove tracking parameters, and review local safety signals directly in the browser.
This page exists so product, engineering, and integration teams have a stable route for API expectations without landing on a dead link from the footer.
Planned scope
Future API capabilities are expected to focus on URL normalization, tracking-parameter removal, safety heuristics, and structured trust signals that can be consumed in workflows, support tooling, and privacy automation.
When those endpoints are introduced, they should be documented with request examples, response schemas, authentication details, and clear rate-limit guidance.
Privacy expectations
Any future API surface should preserve SmartURL's privacy-first posture. URL handling, retention behavior, and logging expectations need to remain explicit so users can evaluate the service confidently before integration.
